Gracious flowing lines of the car sweeping into sporty, powerful haunches shroud the staggering 6.75 litre, 505bhp V8 engine mounted at 90-degrees of the new Bentley Mulsanne. Optimised to be economical and refined for performance this engine generates an earth shattering 1020Nm of torque which is supported by a new eight-speed automatic transmission with quick shift. Fuel consumption is significantly optimised thanks to the engines ability to idle four of the eight cylinders when at cruising speeds, reducing CO2 emissions and offering a potential 15 per cent saving in fuel compared with the previous V8.
