Bentley Flying Spur V8 S: The Sporting Side of Luxury

Bentley are pleased to annouce the introduction of a new model to its range - the Flying Spur V8 S.

The Bentley Flying Spur V8 S will make its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show between 1 and 13 March 2016, and first customer deliveries will begin in the summer.

Inspired by the Flying Spur V8 and the flagship W12, the V8 S is the world's most refined performance sedan offering even more power and torque, plus improved sporting capabilities. Wolfgang Dürheimer, chairman and chief executive of Bentley Motors, said: "The Flying Spur remains unrivalled in its ability to combine class-leading comfort with remarkable dynamic ability. It's the perfect choice for the customer who wants ultimate refinement as well as an exhilarating, spirited drive".

More Power, Sharper Handling, Same Class-Leading Comfort

Tuned for power, the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 S engine offers an additional 21PS, delivering 528PS compared to the V8 507PS. What's more it offers 680Nm from 1,700rpm, powering the V8 S to 0-60mph in just 4.6 seconds and an exhilarating top speed of 190mph. The increase in performance is achieved without detriment to the V8 engine's fuel economy and CO2 emissions.

The V8 engine features the latest technology to enhance its performance, from the high pressure direct injection and advanced thermal management it packs greater efficiency, power and a sharper throttle response. The Flying Spur V8 S features a new responsive suspension for improved handling and control at speeds.

Sporting Styling & Performance Intent

Luxurious and stylish, it is instantly recognisable on the road with its sporting exterior and dark highlights. Featuring Bentley's iconic matrix grille in black with Beluga gloss rear diffuser it creates a dramatic presence on the road. The body coloured insert and V8 S badging on the rear demonstrates the Bentley style, plus 20" open-spoke painted wheel adds further to the model's identity. For those wishing to enhance the Flying Spur V8 S appearance it is available with dark styling including tint lights and black gloss exterior mirror covers, plus the Mulliner Driving specification with 21" black and bright machined six-spoke wheels.

Inside, the style continues with a sporting cabin. Piano-black wood veneers and a three-spoke sports steering wheel come as standard. A colour split unique to the V8 S features stunning two-tone seats with a contrasting roof centre bow.
