Coombelands Racing Stables

Coombelands Racing Stables is one of the finest modern training establishments in the world.

Created by Guy Harwood, who sent out over 1600 winners including 30 Group One victories over four decades, it is now home to Group One winning trainer, Amanda Perrett.  Boasting 150 acres of maintained gallops which can be irrigated via a computerised system, horses have access to four all-weather gallops, five turf gallops including the American shaped bend and numerous winter cantering gallops.  In addition, an indoor canterway, an outdoor school, two horse walkers and an equine swimming pool provide the ultimate in state-of-the-art training facilities.

The four all-weather gallops range in distance from six to eight furlongs. The more gentle gallops allow horses to work at speed three abreast while those with steeper gradients enable horses to strengthen up and develop increased stamina.

A pop-up irrigation system is used to irrigate the five turf gallops which enables the horses to work on different types of turf conditions throughout the season.  There is also a banked American bend which gives horses experience of racing round bends at speed for racing in the United States.

Other facilities include two solariums, a weighbridge so horses' weights can be monitored regularly and an in-house blood-testing laboratory.

Superb stables and gallops combined with the latest technological advances make Coombelands what it is today... a truly equine haven and the perfect place to train winners!
