Jaguar has introduced the turbocharged state-of-the-art four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine to the F-TYPE model range. The award winning F-TYPE family now spans from the four-cyllinder model to Jaguar's 200mph all-weather supercar - the F-TYPE SVR.
The new 300PS 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine is the perfect match for the two-seat sports car, bringing improved efficiency and enhanced agility to every drive. It still boasts the same exceptional performance you would expect from the F-TYPE, with the ability to accelerate from 0-60mph in just 5.4 seconds, with a top speed of 155mph. The engine’s high maximum torque of 400Nm is generated from just 1,500rpm. This, together with the eight-speed Quickshift transmission, delivers exceptional response throughout the rev range.
The 300PS Ingenium engine is the most powerful four-cylinder unit ever offered in a production Jaguar, generating a power output of 150PS per litre. It is also the most efficient F-TYPE in the range, boasting CO2 emissions of just 163g/km on the combined cycle and a 16 percent improvement in fuel economy over the 340PS V6.
Ian Hoban, Vehicle Director at Jaguar F-TYPE comments: "Introducing our advanced four-cylinder engine to F-TYPE has created a vehicle with its own distinct character. Performance from an engine of this size is remarkable and is balanced with improved fuel efficiency and affordability, making the F-TYPE experience more accessible than ever before."
Along with the new engine, the 2018 Model Year Jaguar F-TYPE features many enhancements inside and out, including redesigned bumpers, optional full LED headlights, slimline seats, Touch Pro infotainment system and a number of advanced driver assistance systems.
