From April 2016, all Land Rover diesel models will feature AdBlue® emissions reduction technology. As well as being powerful and fuel efficient, these new generation Land Rovers reduce Nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 90%, using the innovative AdBlue® liquid.
solution is stored in a separate reservoir in your vehicle and, as you
drive, small amounts are injected into the exhaust system, breaking down
harmful gases like
Nitrogen oxide emissions and turning them into water vapour and
nitrogen gas without affecting the performance or safety of your Land Rover.
Usually a litre of AdBlue® lasts around 1,000 miles, so for most drivers a
refill will be needed roughly once a year. When your AdBlue® level is low, your Land Rover's onboard system will give you an advanced warning, to allow you plenty of time to organise a refill. Please pay careful attention to these warnings and do not let the level reach its minimum point, as if you do we cannot guarantee a quick refill of the system, due to the need for your car to be plugged into SDD, Land Rover's vehicle diagnositic system.
The recommended AdBlue® specification for your vehicle is ISO 22241-1. It is of vital importance that you use the correct Land Rover approved AdBlue® when topping up your Land Rover's systems, as versions of this fluid offered at petrol stations and other retailers can often be harmful to your vehicle and could nullify your warranty if damage does occur.
If you have a Land Rover service plan, complimentary AdBlue® top-ups at Harwoods Land Rover are included between service intervals. To top-up yourself, you can purchase an AdBlue® refill bottle from us or alternatively, for a one-off payment of £29.99, Land Rover customer benefits from a top-up to manufacturer fill level.
