Harwoods Group continues to increase its Land Rover presence by acquiring Land Rover Lewes from Caffyns. The purchase was driven by Jaguar Land Rover’s common ownership strategy and adds to the ever expanding JLR divisions of the business.
This new acquisition increases the Harwoods portfolio to five Jaguar and six Land Rover retailers. “Harwoods own the neighbouring Jaguar business – therefore the acquisition of the Lewes site fits very well for the”, commented the UHY Hacker Young Automotive Partners adviser David Kendrick, who advised Caffyns on the deal. “In the future, it will no doubt be converted into a new ‘arch concept’ joint site”.
The purchase of Land Rover Lewes is just the beginning of a 5 year investment plan which is set to increase the presence of the Harwoods brand across the South East.
