Harwoods Crawley Accident Repair Centre was established in 1997, relocating from Coulsdon to Crawley in October 2017. It is an all makes Centre which specialises in Jaguar Land Rover and holds their approved aluminium repairer status, together with approved repairer status for multiple insurers. The centre typically covers a 25mile radius and employs around 25-30 staff.

Job Purpose

The role ofthe Receptionist is to:

  • Ensure customers and visitors receive an immediate welcome.
  • Ensure all calls, both internal and external are answered and dealt with efficiently within the correct process.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure reception area is staffed and kept tidy at all times.

  • Direct customers towards the seating area and offer refreshments while they are waiting.
  • Handle and co-ordinate all calls and visitors, taking full details of the caller’s business, paging members of staff as needed.
  • Establish and maintain a system to monitor the whereabouts of key staff at all times.
  • Keep customer refreshments stocked up at all times.
  • Keep customer waiting area clean and tidy and clear of crockery etc at all times; also kitchen area in showroom.
  • Correctly process all outgoing post ready for despatch each evening.
  • Ensure the safety and security of people, vehicles and property at all times, reporting any known faults or hazards.
