TPS Southampton are one of approximately 60 franchises in the TPS network that started in 2007.We are a VWG franchise who supply genuine parts for Audi, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen passenger cars and commercial vehicles, to the motor trade. Our successful team of circa 25 staff are based in Chandlers Ford and cover the Southampton, Winchester, Salisbury, Andover and Lymington areas, together with Guernsey and Jersey.

Job Purpose

The role ofthe TPS Parts Telesales Advisor is to:

  • Accurately identify customer parts requirements and answer warranty queries.
  • Maintain parts stock and stock records.
  • Process parts orders efficiently.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Proof of Right to Work in the UK.

Experience

  • Understanding of basic vehicle design, function and location of parts

  • DMS/stock management systems experience desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Remain aware of seasonal requirements and of parts needed and be pro-active in supporting sales campaigns with telesales activity.
  • Liaise with Branch Manager to monitor lost sales for inventory control.
  • Ensure all stock is kept securely and in good condition.Maintain stock control and guard against any unauthorised removal of parts stock.Assist in all aspects of stocktaking.
  • Ensure all incoming deliveries are checked and placed in the correct bins and any discrepancies reported to the Branch Manager.
  • Ensure all paperwork, documentation and parts requisitions are completed accurately.Ensure that a receipt, payment of authorised signature is obtained for all parts stock issued.Ensure all credit sales transactions are to an authorised signatory or approved account and cash and cheque payments are received and stored securely.
  • Identify parts accurately and search for part numbers using the Electronic Parts Catalogue.
  • Place special orders as necessary, balancing the needs of the economy and speed of delivery according to specified guidelines.Source the availability of additional parts from outside TPS.
  • Ensure the department is kept clean and tidy
  • Attend training courses to develop job related knowledge.
  • Adhere to any additional TPS requirements (including procedures appertaining to recycling/exchange units.Ensure the correct recycling of all disposed and damaged items in line with environmental regulations).
