Harwoods Racing Club 2014-2016

Harwoods Racing Club (HRC) was launched in the summer of 2010 by Harwoods Group Chairman Guy Harwood and his daughter Amanda Perrett. The aim of HRC is to give like minded people the opportunity to enjoy the excitement and thrills of owning a racehorse without the expense of individual ownership.

This is the third HRC in which membership is available at an all-inclusive cost of £2750 per share for the horse to race in the 2015 – 2016 seasons. The HRC horse will race in the distinctive red, yellow and black Harwood racing colours and members are presented with an exclusive woven silk club tie and ladies silk scarf. Membership of HRC is limited to sixty shareholders. At the end of 2016 the horse will be sold at public auction and all sales proceeds and prize money won, minus expenses will be paid out to each member.

The new HRC horse is an exciting prospect purchased at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale. Called Royal Hero, he is a colt by profile sire of two year old winners Royal Applause out of a Halling mare who has produced two winners. This colt will be in training with Group 1 winning trainer Amanda Perrett at the prestigious Coombelands Racing Stables at Pulborough, West Sussex.

David Oughton, Racing Manager of HRC is available to show owners their horse's progress on the gallops as well as on the racecourse. In addition HRC members are invited to special hospitality days throughout the year such as the annual Coombelands Yearling Parade in November, Festive drinks in December and Glorious Goodwood in July. HRC members are encouraged to visit Coombelands and take an interest in the development and training of their horse and are kept updated on their horse's progress via email and telephone.

If you would like to discuss HRC or visit Coombelands to see the horses, please contact David by email david.oughton@harwoods.uk.com or by telephone on either 01798 873011 or 07803 088737
