With the launch of the Aston Martin DB11 AMR, this new competitor has claimed the title of the fastest Aston Martin car in production. Moreover, the DB11 AMR has also claimed the title of the world's fastest GT car, with credit due to it staggering power output, astonishing acceleration and stunning top speed. All together, this new entry into the DB11 family can offer an intense, electrifying driving experience with the style and character that is part and parcel of an Aston Martin.
True racing pedigree, the Aston Martin Vantage DB11 AMR has received enhancements to the exterior and interior. The headrests will feature an exclusive AMR logo to truly mark this unequalled vehicle, as well as exclusive AMR sill plaques and a leather wrapped, carbonfibre steering wheel. There will be four different designer specifications available: the AMR Signature Edition consists of the AMR Halo colours of Stirling Green paint with AMR Lime exterior graphics. Other designer specifications use a variety of dark and stormy exterior colours, such as Mariana Blue, Oryx Black and China Grey. All of which will feature sumptuous yet sporty interiors, made from Caithness leather, lime contrast leather straps with Pure Black Alcantara accenting.
The Aston Martin DB11 AMR will channel the essence of a race car, with a powerplant capable of generating 630bhp at 6500rpm, providing unparalleled performance out on the road. The rear axle will use a retuned ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox, allowing for a new exhaust system which can produce a characterful tone, allowing the car to express its essence in greater dominance. All of this together allows the DB11 AMR to accelerate to 62mph in an outstanding 3.7 seconds.
To achieve a class-leading power output, the DB11 AMR will use an uprated 5.2-litre V12 twin-turbocharged powerplant, combined with a new shift calibration for the 8-speed automatic transmission.
Led by Chief Engineer Matt Becker, the dynamics team worked to provide the DB11 with a strong sense of connection without compromise. This led to enhancements to the chassis such as the use of an advanced suspension system with an adaptive damping system, affording the car more agility and accuracy thanks to the Skyhook drive mode selection technology, providing drive modes such as GT, Sport and Sport+ modes. The stability and traction control software has also been revised to ensure a truly rewarding drive.
