Technology and inspiration from the world of motorsport has been used to enhance the Rapide with a more sporting profile thanks to the advanced performance, acute dynamics and more prominent design language.
Rapide AMR is the first Aston Martin car to ever use 21" wheels, which uses high-performance tyres as well as a 10mm reduction in ride height. Four body colours are available for the Rapide AMR, all of which include AMR Lime accenting in the interior and exterior. These colours include: Mariana Blue, Scintilla Silver, Lightning Silver or Onyx Black. The racing qualities are not limited to the exterior, with the interior being equipped with a full-length carbon-fibre centre console featuring Dark Chrome centre console rotary controls and carbon-fibre door inserts. Claimed to be the most thrilling four-door, the Rapide AMR possess a top-speed of 210mph with 592bph. This power is produced by a naturally aspirated 5.9-litre V12 engine, which will also use a new quad exhaust system that will produce less engine waste and most importantly, will allow the V12 engine to produce an even more prominent race car soundtrack. The Rapide AMR will be capable of accelerating from 0-60mph in just 4.2 seconds; securing the claim it is the most thrilling four-door.
The Rapide AMR features an engine that takes inspiration from the GT12, allowing for various enhancements to the drivetrain, such as increased power and torque. These improvements are completed with a new engine & gearbox calibration, further improving the Rapide experience.
Other enhancements include advanced braking performance and resistance, due to the carbon ceramic braking system as standard, which includes 398mm diameter discs with six-piston calipers in the front, and 360mm diameter rear discs using four-piston calipers. What's more, the Rapide AMR uses an evolution of the brake cooling system from the Vanquish S, which features altered brake ducts and dirtshields to give superior airflow and low operating temperatures.
