Introducing The New Aston Martin Vantage AMR
Aston Martin vehicles are renowned for their dedication to providing outstanding driving experiences and the new Vantage AMR is no exception.
Vantage AMR specification highlights:
• LED high and low beam headlights
• Clamshell bonnet
• 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine
• 20” Forged AMR Wheels
• 8” LCD screen
• AM Audio System with iPod & iPhone integration & Radio
• Integrated satellite navigation & Bluetooth connectivity
• Dynamic Stability Control
• Emergency Brake Assist
The Vantage AMR adds an extra dose of excitement to the Vantage line-up thanks to its seven-speed manual transmission, inspired by motorsport and developed by Graziano. Each gear has been designed to deliver precision and finesse via a hand-stitched leather gearstick. The transmission is coupled with a limited-slip differential, tuned and calibrated by Aston Martin’s leading dynamics team.
As always, centre stage of the Vantage AMR is its potent 4-litre turbo V8 engine, set as far back in the chassis as possible to achieve near perfect 50:50 weight distribution. This high-performance engine offers 510PS and 600rmp and 625Nm from 2000-5000rpm, meaning it can travel from 0-60mph in a thrilling 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 195mph.
Removing the automatic transmission and adding carbon ceramic brakes as standard creates a purer driving experience, whilst also removing 95kg of weight. These subtle but clever changes push the boundaries of vehicle performance once more. Its Sport, Sport + and Track modes mean that drivers can tune the car to their preference or the road conditions, adding even more personalisation.
“When I joined this company, customers asked and, as a gearbox engineer and racer, I promised that we would always offer a manual transmission in our line-up. The Vantage AMR not only honours that commitment but sets us apart from our competitors in continuing to offer a three-pedal option. In a world of autonomous robo-taxis, Aston Martin will continue to advance the art and science of performance driving. With the Vantage AMR, we have created a thoroughly modern sports car that rewards effort and focus from the driver; the antidote to driving a computer game.”
- Andy Palmer, President and Group CEO at Aston Martin Lagonda
The Vantage AMR will be limited to just 200 units, available in five colours. 141 will be available in Sabiro Blue, Onyx Black, China Grey or White Stone. The other 59 will be designed to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Aston Martin’s triumphant 1959 24 Hour of Le Mans victory with the DBR1. The ‘Vantage 59’ will be offered with Stirling Green and Lime exterior paint, with Dark Knight leather and alcantara interior, finished with the iconic AMR lime stripe and stitch.
