Here at Harwoods we understand how important it is that we can help keep you safe whilst you're travelling on the road in these difficult times. Our showrooms may have closed but we are still here to help you. Whether you are waiting for the delivery of your new car or your car needs to be serviced/repaired, with our Collection & Delivery Service available from 11th May, this will all be possible.
We have been working in accordance with the Government's guidance to ensure our Collection & Delivery Service is safe for all our customers and staff.
Included below are some of the questions we thought you may have about the service, if you have any other questions please contact us today.
Our dealerships are offering collection and delivery service for both sales and servicing needs; including the collection of part exchange models and the delivery of new cars, plus servicing requirements and repairs your car may urgently need.
We are currently offering this service from all our dealerships including Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, McLaren and MINI.
The day before your car is due to be collected the salesperson will call you to confirm the vehicle to be collected and the delivery of your new car. You will receive an email which you will need to return to confirm that the vehicle being collected has not been used by someone who has been confirmed positive for COVID-19.
Once we have confirmation, your appointment time can then be confirmed for the collection and delivery of your new car. You will need to remove all personal belongings from your vehicle if you're part exchanging, but please leave the locking wheel nut, manuals and handbooks. All documentation, invoices and payments will be handled digitally.
The day before you will receive a call to confirm the appointment and discuss the collection arrangements. You will receive an email for you to confirm to the best of your knowledge that your vehicle has not been occupied by someone confirmed as having COVID-19.
Once we have the email confirmation, we will then confirm the time of collection of your vehicle. Once we have completed the work on your car and know that your car is safe, we will then organise returning your car to you when it's convenient. All paperwork and payments will be handled digitally.
Due to the possibility of cross-contamination, we will collect vehicles known to have been used by someone who has been confimed as having COVID-19 as long as the vehicle has been left locked and unoccupied for more than 3-days. We will implement a procedure which includes a special 'surface treatment' at your address, which sanitises the vehicle before we take it away.
If this service is required, then you must let us know during the call with your service/sales advisor, to ensure that we can put the necessary arrangements in place.
Our staff will wear protective equipment to ensure that they are safe when collecting and delivering your car, this includes an all-in-suit and gloves. They will also use seat covers and a steering wheel cover to prevent contamination which they will remove after delivering. The keys will also be kept in a bag, so they will not be handled by our staff.
We are working closely with the Government's guidelines and advice, if at any stage the advice is changed, we will take appropriate action.
