FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF OWNING AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE?

There are a number of benefits to owning an electric vehicle, they offer a more refined drive and also have the convenience of being able to charge at home. They offer environmental benefits compared to fuel-burning combustion engines, producing zero tailpipe emissions electric vehicles are helping to reduce air pollution from motorists.

WHAT TYPE OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE IS THE I-PACE?

The Jaguar I-PACE is a battery electric vehicle (BEV) meaning it does not have a combustion engine, instead of burning fuel the power is supplied to two electric motors and stored in a rechargeable battery.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO CHARGE AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE?

To calculate the cost for a full charge, simply multiply the rate your electricity supplier charges you per kWh by 90, as the Jaguar I-PACE has a 90kWh battery.

HOW FAR CAN I TRAVEL IN AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE?

The Jaguar I-PACE has a range of up to 292 miles on the WLTP (Worldwide harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure) cycle, meaning based on the average commute many owners will only need to charge once a week.

ARE ELECTRIC VEHICLES MORE DIFFICULT TO MAINTAIN?

Compared to a vehicle with an internal combustion engine, electric vehicles actually require less maintenance as they have few moving parts, meaning there is less to wear out. What’s more, the Jaguar I-PACE 90kWH battery warranty is limited to 8 years or 100,000 (whichever comes first), which is redeemable in the case of any manufacturing defect or certified Jaguar retailer measure that the battery has dropped below a 70% State of Health.

HOW LONG DOES THE I-PACE TAKE TO CHARGE?

The I-PACE can be fully charged in approximately 13 hours using a Jaguar wallbox. Once plugged in, you’re free to leave Jaguar I-PACE to charge, the I-PACE will automatically stop charging when it reaches a full charge.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF OWNING AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE?

The I-PACE features state-of-the-art thermal management systems to optimise the battery performance in warmer or cooler temperatures. The battery range can be reduced in hot or cold temperatures because energy is required to keep the battery at an efficient operating temperature.

HOW LONG CAN AN ELECTRIC BE LEFT WITHOUT CHARGING?

The Jaguar I-PACE can be left without charging for at least six months, however it is recommended that they are plugged in once a month. The battery management system is electronically controlled and uses very little energy.

HOW DOES THE PERFORMANCE COMPARE TO A 'CONVENTIONAL' CAR?

Electric cars generate maximum torque from standstill, delivering impressive acceleration. With their lower centre of gravity and an even weight distribution as the battery is located between the two axles, it offers improved handling. The I-PACE is unmistakably Jaguar with its dynamic and responsive drive

IF THE BATTERY RUNS OUT OF CHARGE, DOES THE CAR STOP?

If the battery runs out of charge the I-PACE will eventually stop. The Jaguar I-PACE has a battery management system which will provide energy information as your range reduces. Eco Mode can be used to help extend your range by turning off climate control and heated windscreens.
