The Jaguar F-PACE has been officially named the best and most beautiful car in the world after winning both World Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year at the 2017 World Car Awards.
The F-PACE, which is designed, developed and built in the UK, saw off competition from the likes of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet and the Toyota C-HR in a vote of 75 influential motoring journalists from 24 countries to win the pair of trophies. It is only the second vehicle to ever claim the double award win in the World Car Awards' 13 year history. It is no surprise that the performance SUV is the fatest selling model Jaguar has ever produced. It is also the most searched Jaguar ever in the UK with 4.4 million unique page views since its launch, with more than 680,000 people configuring their dream F-PACE online.
The model was introduced in April 2016 and since then has won more than 40 awards, including 'Car of the Year' by Auto Express and 'Best Premium SUV' by Telegraph Cars. About the most recent double win, Dr Ralf Speth, Jaguar Land Rover CEO exclaimed: "The F-PACE was designed and engineered as a performance SUV with exceptional dynamics, everyday usability and bold design. Winning this award endorses the talent and great work of our teams that have delivered the world’s most practical sports car and Jaguar's fastest-selling vehicle."
The Jaguar F-PACE is the manufacturer's first performance SUV, designed to deliver agility, responsiveness and refinement that Jaguar customers expect, along with the addition of dynamics and everyday usability. Engine options range from a four-cylinder 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel to a supercharged V6 petrol model.
