The iconic Range Rover is now available as a Plug-In Hybrid. The Range Rover PHEV maintains the same stylish exterior and versatility that the Range Rover is renowned for, but with the addition of Plug-In Hybrid technology to improve efficiency and performance. "The P400e brings the benefits of electrification to the legendary
capabilities of Range Rover; delivering ultra-low emissions with an EV
range of up to 31 miles", explains Elizabeth Hill, Chief Product Engineer. The PHEV P400e engine is perfect for those who travel short distances or spend their time driving around the city. When driving in EV mode the Range Rover PHEV is capable of travelling up to 31 miles on electric power emitting zero emissions and can achieve combined fuel economy of 91.1mpg. This model is the quietest Range Rover; the PHEV offers a smooth transmission between the petrol engine and electric motor for an enjoyable driving experience.
The Range Rover PHEV features the iconic Range Rover styling and design, with its sophisticated interior and exterior it is arguably one of the most luxurious Plug-In Hybrid models available. The PHEV model features a charging port that is cleverly integrated into the front grille, providing easy access to the connection port without compromising on the exterior style. Inside, you will enjoy the same level of refinement you would expect from a Range Rover, premium materials have been used throughout to create a high quality finish.
Available with a selection of the latest technology and engineering, the Range Rover PHEV integrates intelligent technology with the PHEV system. The Intelligent Plug-In Hybrid Display uses the Touch Pro Duo and Interactive Driver Display to provide real-time driving data, informing the driver how efficiently the Range Rover PHEV is performing and how the electric motor is working alongside the conventional combustion engine.
The PHEV delivers an output of 404hp and CO2 emissions from 72g/km when using a combination of the advanced 2.0 litre 300hp Si4 Ingenium petrol engine and a high capacity 85kW electric motor. To conserve power, the Range Rover PHEV uses regenerative braking technology; the electric motor harvests the kinetic energy whilst braking and converts it into electrical energy that is used to recharge the high voltage battery.
The Range Rover PHEV can be fully charged from either a domestic socket or an IEC connector in just 7.5 hours, the PHEV models come with a Home Charging Cable. Alternatively, if you are away from home you can use public charging stations, the Connect Pro technology will highlight charging points along your driving route.
