Land Rover has added new models to their PHEV range, including the versatile Range Rover Evoque PHEV and the adventurous Discovery Sport PHEV model.
The Discovery Sport Plug-in Hybrid offers versatility and flexibility, whether you are heading on a long journey or on your daily commute, the Plug-in Hybrid powertrain is ready for the challenge. The Plug-in Hybrid powertrain uses the combination of an advanced 1.5 litre 200HP i3 petrol engine supported by an electric motor to deliver a combined output of 309HP. This model provides all electric performance at lower speeds and traditional combustion performance on longer journeys.
The electric motor and engine seamlessly work together for an optimum performance and high efficiency, perfect for driving around the city. The electric motor can either supply its power in parallel with the engine, or you can manually select the Electric Vehicle (EV) mode. The 80kW battery allows you to drive up to 38 miles emission free driving on a full charge in electric mode.
In recent years there has seen an increase in public charging points, the Discovery Sport Plug-in Hybrid can be charged using DC rapid charging, so it is ready for your next adventure. This model also uses regenerative braking to convert energy into electric, which is then fed back into the battery.
The Plug-in Hybrid powertrain is available on the Discovery Sport R-Dynamic S, SE and HSE specifications, for more information please contact your local Harwoods Land Rover dealership.
