Bentley Mulliner Bacalar

Bentley Reveal New Ultra-Rare and Exclusive Bentley Mulliner Bacalar

Bentley have just announced the new Bentley Mulliner Bacalar, deemed as the rarest two-door Bentley of the modern era. The Bentley Bacalar is a perfect example of rarity and exclusivity, with just 12 examples of this striking, limited edition model being produced. The luxurious craftsmanship launches a new Bentley Mulliner operation, introducing a new plan of action for the world’s oldest coachbuilder which can be traced back to the 1500s.

The Bacalar draws design inspiration from the beautifully sculpted award winning EXP100 GT, the Bacalar’s design is dynamically sculpted for the future. A polarising exterior design with chiselled edges and outstanding levels of detail is what makes the Bentley Bacalar so special. Sitting on bespoke three-tone finish, 22-inch alloy wheels, which sit 20mm further apart than the Bentley Continental GT.

Inside the cabin of the Bacalar, the depth and detail Bentley designers have gone too is extremely apparent. From the beautifully designed ‘wraparound’ cockpit design which blends the interior and exterior together simultaneously emphasising the two-seater character. The sleek yet steeply angled dashboard, encompassing door panels, the seat inserts, seatbacks and side of the headrests are made from natural wool cloth, with Wilton-woven pure wool deep pile carpets complete the premium cabin.

Another example of meticulous detail is that both quilted seats feature precisely 148,199 stitches in its material, a matching luggage behind the seatbacks is upholstered in the same material as the two luxury seats.

At the heart of the dashboard is an advanced, fully digital, driver-focused instrument panel and the famous Bentley Rotating Display that rotates to reveal the high-resolution touchscreen interface designed to operate like a smartphone. The rotating display is crafted from ultra-rare copper infused Riverwood veneer; a sustainable wood from naturally fallen trees that have been preserved for 5,000 years in peat bogs, lakes and rivers found in the Fenlands of East Anglia, England. The Bacalar’s exclusive dashboard is enhanced further with anodized titanium and metallic dark bronze finished for an extra touch of elegance.

An upgraded bi-turbo W12 engine developing 650 bhp and 667lb of torque. The Bacalar sprints from 0-60mph in just three and a half seconds and has a top speed surpassing 200mph. Carbon fibre front and wear wings, bespoke front and rear lights, new bumpers paired with an aggressive style grille and a mesmerising bespoke paint colour known as “Yellow Flame” which contains ash from rice husks and uses a ninety-percent silicon dioxide pigment coated with iron oxide complete the Bacalar’s immensely special design.
