What do you think of when you consider the word ‘McLaren?’ For many, it is reminiscent of some of the best sports vehicles ever made, a manufacturer that provides not only speed but also sleek design, roadworthiness, and engineering might.

With this in mind, Hardwood’s McLaren are proud to present to you the current McLaren range. No matter if you’re shopping, just browsing, or hoping to learn more about the technical specification of these wonderful sports vehicles, the information below should appeal ot you.

Let’s avoid the preamble and get straight to it:

McLaren 540C

The McLaren 540c is a beautiful and elegant mid-mounted 3.8-liter V8 turbo which, although it is the entry level model for the McLaren range, turns heads no matter where it goes. This is because it inspires awe at a 3.5 second 0-60 mph, as well as a  top speed just shy of 200mph. This is curated thanks to a brilliant 533 brake horsepower engine. The sports-light look also deftly describes its beautifully responsive handling. One to watch, for sure.

McLaren 570S Coupe

The 570s Coupe is known as a sports car for sports car aficionados. Not only is this model incredibly beautiful with its lightweight frame, but its direct steering provides a road experience like any other. The 2.8L M838TE twin-turbocharged v8 engine provides a whopping 562 brake horsepower - nothing to sniff at.

McLaren 570S Spider

Surely, the only thing that can make the McLaren sports range even better is a retractable hardtop? This is what the Spider affords to you, showcasing the best of luxurious travel and raw performance intake. The Spider is powered by the impressive 3.8L M838TE twin-turbocharged v8 as the Coupe, but with the top down, that raw performance is more available to you in its raw auditory and visual prowess. Truly a design to watch.

McLaren 570GT

Of course, McLaren just had to release a beautiful GT model for its 570 range. This provides strong and elegant trimming to the body style, and the panoramic glass roof provides the best of both worlds, not a soft-top or retractable hard top, but perceptually similar. With a 0-60mph of 3.4 secs and an incredibly imposing road presence, the GT is sure to turn heads, and is crafted for those who truly do adore the 570 line.

McLaren 600LT

Of course, we’re talking about McLaren here, and so it’s quite obvious that the limited-edition 600LT is here not only to improve the 570’s design principles, but to redefine them. The retuned engine sports an astonishing 592 brake horsepower, shaving that 0-60mph to just shy of 3 seconds. With a top speed of 201mph, the LT name surely hasn’t been let down here.

McLaren 600LT Spider

While similar to the 600LT coupe, the spider provides the means to retract the hardtop roof, which, amazingly enough, only reduces the top achievable sped by 5mph (down to 196mph). This means that no matter where you’re driving or how you choose to drive it, the 600LT spider provides you with high-octane and beautifully vibrato turbo engine sounds. The 600LT is also known to expertly handle corners. It is truly the car we all dreamt about handling as children.

McLaren GT

The McLaren GT is the last word in elegant executive design. No more do those looking for a luxurious experience need to choose between sports models or executive sedan-like designs, as this vehicle provides the best of its 4.0 litre twin-turbocharged v8, offering 612 brake horsepower. Due to its luxurious and executive design, the McLaren GT is also a quietly confident vehicle, one that will look fantastic in both long-haul and inner-city environments.

McLaren 620R

The McLaren 620R is known as the 570S GT4 race car, but design for practical road purposes. As such, it is a limited run edition with less than 350 cars being made. That’s probably for the best, because it takes a real maestro to get the most out of this beautiful piece of art in the first place, thanks to its 612 brake horsepower engine, and its limited-run cost of £330000.

As you can see, McLaren are truly leading the market when it comes to high-performance, confidence sports cars.
