Any new vehicle model that comes out is going to excite people, but some will excite more than others, and Jaguar’s iconic flagship model, the F-Type, is one that will certainly get pulses racing, especially when you consider that this is to be a limited edition and all-new version of this famous car.

This specific F-Type is known as the Reims Edition, and only 150 of the vehicles are going to be available in the UK. You might think that this would put it out of the reach of most people, but with prices starting at £58,950, the field is perhaps more open than you might imagine. It was launched on Blue Monday in 2021 – the third Monday in January, or more specifically, 18th January; this date was chosen, so it goes, because this car offers the ‘perfect antidote’ (according to Jaguar, and we’re sure there are many who would agree) to this most gloomy day of the year – so it hasn’t been out for too long yet; there might still be time to get your hands on one if you like the idea of driving a fairly unique car that has all the styling and power than you have come to expect from the F-Type.

If you’re already familiar with the F-Type model you might have an idea of what to expect, but the Reims version has certainly had a few changes made, making it sleeker, more enticing, and a better drive. There’s the 20-inch alloy wheels, for example, as well as the stunning sweeping panoramic glass roof. Then there is the ‘black pack’, trading the coupe’s standard grille, vents, and badges for completely gloss black alternatives. And as if that wasn’t enough, the bodywork will be completed in French Racing Blue, a unique tint; it’s quite a look and one that is going to turn heads, that’s for sure.

Inside, the Reims Edition January F-Type is just as luxurious and high quality as you would want it to be, but – because it’s this special edition – even more so than you could possibly hope for. Heated seats are fantastic, but you’ll also receive a heated steering wheel and heated front windscreen. The interior is finished in a gorgeous black upholstery that is as comfortable as any car you’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. What makes all of this even more enjoyable is that, if you were to add these items onto a standard F-Type, it would cost you £4,160.

Onto the specifics under the bonnet too – they’re just as high quality as the rest of the car. There are two rear-driven powertrains to begin with, and the P300 (entry-level) model also has a 2.0 litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine giving you 296bhp and 400Nm of torque. In other words, that’s a top speed of 155mph and a 0-62mph time of 5.4 seconds. Moving up in the range, the P450 (at a chunkier £71,450) has a 5.0 litre V8, offering 444bhp and 580Nm of torque, offering a massive top speed of 177mph and a 0-62mph time of 4.4 seconds.
