The Jaguar XE has been updated to feature a new electrified powertrain option and a range of connected technologies. The enhanced family friendly saloon is now available for the first time as a Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV), bringing enhanced efficiency to every drive. The model is available with the next generation Ingenium 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged 204PS diesel engine, as well as the latest 250PS and 300PS petrol engines. All XE models are available with Jaguar’s eight-speed automatic transmission. The new MHEV engine can power the XE from 0-60mph in just 6.9 seconds, capable of up to 58.5mpg with CO2 emissions as low as 127g/km on the WLTP test cycle. The 250PS petrol engine option delivers 0-60mph in 6.4 seconds and the 300PS, which is mated to an intelligent all-wheel drive system, can propel the XE from 0-60mph in 5.6 seconds.
“The updated Jaguar XE features a selection of enhancements which make it an even better choice for buyers. The new MHEV diesel powertrain brings an electrified engine option to XE for the first time and delivers improved efficiency combined with refined performance. Meanwhile, cutting-edge technologies, such as our new Pivi Pro infotainment system and latest Cabin Air Ionisation technologies, provide greater connectivity, convenience and wellbeing for all for occupants.” Colin Kirkpatrick, Chief Product Engineer, Jaguar
The Jaguar XE features a whole host of connected technologies to ensure driver and passengers are as informed, entertained and in control as possible. Exceptional convenience doesn’t end in the cabin, thanks to the second generation wearable Activity Key, which can be used to lock, unlock and start the vehicle without the need of a conventional key fob. The new Guardian Mode provides added security and peace of mind when using the Secure app, so owners can receive alerts if there are any unauthorised movements. As well as lots of exciting new technology and new engines, the XE boasts world-class design from the outside in. The well-known wide grille and curved profile creates a chic look on any road and is now available with the enhanced Black Exterior Pack to deliver a stealthier appearance and Gloss Black elements. The newest range of derivatives has been streamlined from 24 to 12, keeping the most popular features selected by customers and reducing manufacturing complexity. Whichever model you choose, a stunning drive round every turn is guaranteed.
“We are delighted to introduce our upgraded and streamlined 21MY XF and XE ranges. With significant enhancements to technology and design for the new XF, and further refinements building on the success of XE, customers get more of the features they love and new features that add even more desirability and excitement.” Rawdon Glover, Manager Director, Jaguar Land Rover UK
