At Harwoods, we are now offering roadside assistance packages for customers who purchase an older vehicle. The majority of new vehicles puchased come with a roadside assistance package supplied by the manufactuer, however older vehicles outside of manufacturer warranty often do not receive this benefit. Our Roadside Assistance Programme is managed by Westbourne and is a solution for customers that need help following a roadside breakdown or road traffic crash that operates 24 hours a day, every day. Westbourne have built their reputation on providing the highest levels of customer service and so we wanted to offer a service that maintains these values. They are a leading roadside breakdown provider offering service across Southern England from it’s regional centres in Brighton, Basingstoke and Bristol. Optional services that can be provided include:• Roadside Assistance• Nationwide Vehicle Recovery • Accident Recovery • Mobile tyre replacement • Secure overnight storage • New and used vehicle delivery
You will be provided with a dedicated phone number to contact Westbourne if you require assistance, for example in the event of a breakdown or an accident. Once the call has been logged you be kept up to date with notifications and kept informed as to when they will arrive.Breakdown phone number: 08702 241073
If you require roadside assistance for simple faults such as wheel changes and flat batteries, you will be able to make use of the ‘pay on use’ service. Should a warranty situation exist you will not be required to pay but warranty can only be completed during normal working hours through your Harwoods dealership. Roadside Assistance is only to be provided for simple faults with the preference being to recover the vehicle back to the appropriate Harwoods dealership were possible.
Your vehicle will recovered to the appropriate Harwoods branch. Where it is not possible to unload out of hours or where the vehicle is insecure or accident damaged the vehicle will be taken back to the Westbourne secure storage site closest to the destination for redelivery the next working day.
We can alternatively transport your vehicle to another location however this will be on 'pay on uses' basis with payment to be made by the customer at the time.
Should you require a replacement tyre to be fitted, Westbourne will confirm availability from the Westbourne Repair Solutions Team. Only certain makes and models are suitable for mobile tyre fit and only approved tyres may be fitted. Tyre fitment is a pay on use service. Should a tyre not be available, your car will be recovered to your nominated Harwoods branch.
If you have been involved in an accident your car will be recovered to the appropriate Harwoods Accident Repair centre. You will also be offered a courtesy lift home (if within 20 miles of the accident location or destination) or assisted with onward travel if required. Vehicles will be stored at the Westbourne storage site closest to the destination for re delivery next working day.
